Action Updated From Information about Services, Ground Transportation, Facilities and Local Attractions 12.07.08 michael wikstrom [mwikstrom] Very nice airport because of the proximity with the city of Venice. Taxi to the ferry station is € 7, and you can buy a boat ticket for 24 hours for approx € 15. Avgas available but you should order in advance. Cost per liter, € 2.90, most expensive I've ever paid.!!! My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation!    Category:   City access    Romantic getaway    23.06.08 Armin Mueller [a-mueller] AVGAS is available, but you have to order it in advance. The airfield surface is strong and dry enough to support also heavier planes. Campground and hotels within walking distance on the Lido island. As a peaceful and stylish accomodation I can recommend the Hotel St. Elena on the main island. You reach it by "Vaporetto" water-bus line 1 via only one stop. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation!    Category:   Aviation heritage    Romantic getaway    Beach/Nature/Camping    02.06.07 Bernhard Sebl [bernhard] Realy great airfield, if you walk about 15min from the field there are the water taxis (Vaporettos), EUR 6,-pP to San Marco. Be aware that there is no AVGAS in the moment, check NOTAMS!! Category:   City access    Beach/Nature/Camping    09.09.06 Elmar Bresser [elmar] Very nice airfield, with relatively good city access (use bus and water bus for 5 €/person). Grass Runway but about 1000 m long. For VFR flights use VFR transit route to approach and depart. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation!    Category:   City access    Romantic getaway    Beach/Nature/Camping    17.08.06 Dr.-Ing. A. Bubenik [profaxel] Absolutely recommendable airfield! Watch out for large ships or water vessels appearing at the departure end of runway 06. Instrument departure routes are established - but no instrument approaches. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation!    Category:   City access    Beach/Nature/Camping    16.08.06 AID Staff [aid-staff] Nice airport close to the city. Check AD availability before landing. Sometimes they hold extensive lunch breaks!! ARO-office for FPL filing on site. Friendly staff. To Venice: Take the water-taxi (EUR 70) or the bus (linie A/B) to "Lido Main Station" and then the public water-bus "ACTV" to the city (total EUR 5). Spectacular approach! My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation!    Category:   Romantic getaway    Beach/Nature/Camping    09.01.06 gerd sidenstein [sidi] Monday closed ! Only flights from Schengen airports accepted !(Otherwise you have to divert to Tessera, which is extremeliy expensive) Bustransfer to ferrystation to Piazza san Marco. Category:   City access
