	05.08.14	Alexander Bubenik [profaxel]	Lovely airfield - very often (especially on weekdays) the ground radio station is not staffed, and attempts to communicate will receive no acknowledgement. In that case pilots self-announce their position and intentions over the than CTAF frequency, which is the same as the AFIS frequency. When approaching from the east (for instance coming from Germany) it's advisable (due to the complicated airspace structure) to request a midfield crossing at Maastrich Airport, which in most cases will be approved by Beek Approach. The highway A2/E314 behind the river Maas (dutch belgian border) will guide you directly to the (right) base leg of runway 03. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation!
