	26.10.18	Alexander Bubenik [profaxel]	The Airfield is located above the Altmühl valley. The so-called the Willibaldsburg (a fortress built approx. 1353) is just a 20 minutes walk from the airfield. Inside the fortress you will find a nice restaurant (Burgschänke) and a museum. Eichstätt itself (another 15 minutes walk) is the centre of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Eichstätt. Besides the cathedral, the city of Eichstätt sports numerous churches and monasteries incl. a roman catholic university. USE CAUTION - middle part of the runway is a bit bumpy - sort of ski jump... My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation! Category: City access Romantic getaway Beach/Nature/Camping
