	09.04.06	Dr. E. Leopold Dieck [dieck]	On an IFR arrival ATC kept me much too high for a normal descent. After landing there was no radio discipline with tower and taxi clearances were such that a helicopter passed low level just about 30 meters ahead and we were directed face to face with an airliner waiting to take off. We then had to turn around and finally got to the apron. Marshaller tokk about 10 minutes to appear and tried to park us right on the helipad with helicopters landing and taking off continuously. We declined and taxied to the fuel station. The GA terminal was not manned. There was a handling agent, Midwest Exec who claimed that they would do the handling for GBP 20. On departure they charged GBP 40. It took us almost 2 hours for some Manager to appear and allocate a parking space for 3 days.The airport Taxi was there in minutes, but the driver did not know his way around Coventry, so we disembarked and ordered a Taxi by phone. There is a very well stocked Airmuseum at the field. I regret that we had no time to visit. Departure was without incidents. My grade: I wouldn't land there if my engine stopped! Category:
