[xboyer] 		This airport is the most windy ever. Even with wind in the axis of the runway, very dangerous gusts on short final (even for a mountain pilot...). I guess it's because of ventury effects since hills and mountains surround the airport. If you land there, don't forget to park the aircraft nose to the wind, ie nose to the north generally. Don't forget you chocks ; it's not possible to tie the wings to the ground, I would not recommend this airport for a long stay. The airport is closed outside operating hours by NOTAM ; look at the lastest NOTAM because they change the hours frequently. During opening hours, the airport comes to life. Accurate opening hours, and very friendly people. The island is magic. You can arrange to have a car rental if you phone in advance ("Dolihi tours"). The airport has ground power unit in case you have a battery breakdown.
 My grade: I wouldn't land there if my engine stopped!    Category:   Beach/Nature/Camping
