	13.08.23	Henrik Knoblauch [henrik_k]	Friendly staff, handling mandatory. Best price-/performance ratio with Skyserv and AOPA Card. AVGAS is available. Be aware of the daily changing opening hours. Flightplan for departure needs to be filed via the TWR, ask for the phone number from your handling guys. Athen AIS did not accept mine and told me, that LGIO „is special“. I did not try to file it via app because it was an uncomplicated call with the tower. Be aware that taxi prices have the „add on“ add the end of the ride. It depends on the number of passengers, luggage,… Its not an attempt to cheat. You can take the bus in front of the terminal to the city. The city area is a flate rate of 1,50€ for each person and ride. Taxi will be about 15€ (cash only!). We suffered from a flat tire and the airport charged us 180€ just for the allowance to bringt the spare part to the apron. Refueling is uncomplicated and be payed either by credit card or BP. Overall a good place for entry and exit and also a nice place to stay for some nights. Typical greek live and Restaurants, much cheaper and more friendly than on the islands. You need PPR, but thats only a formal process. I got the approval within one hour. Category: Fuelstop City access

	19.10.18	Chris Leontopoulos [ttjclz]	Non-Fraport international airport, now GA friendly with brand new terminal, Avgas 100LL, plenty of parking space. Watch out for possible IMC weather / fog, have your IFR plates readily available. If VMC then super-scenic approach in between mountains.. Call and email Skyserv handlers before you go.
