	15.10.10	Frank Naumann [naf]	Airport is not very suitable for GA aircraft: no AVGAS available, landing clearance only with PPR, handling compulsory, no briefing room, no MET office, no internet access/WLAN for selfbriefing, no GA infrastructure at all. At least landing fees were cheap compared to other Italian airports. There is a small self service restaurant in the main terminal, rent-a-car is available. After landing the tower expected me to call the handling agent via radio without indicating their frequency. The handling agent didn't remember to have issued a PPR number the day before. So be ready for a bit of bureaucracy - best advise is to have a copy of their fax/email at hand including their radio frequency. Same chaos on departure: The tower wants to be asked for startup clearance. When ready to taxi I had to call the handling agent again for marshalling from my parking position to the nearest taxiway which was some ten metres away. Then again frequency change to the tower for further taxi clearance to the holding point a.s.o. The handling office was unable to produce an invoice right away, they sent it via email four weeks later. My grade: It's a ripoff but I have seen worse Category:
