	14.08.10	Placido Albanese [albanpla]	Albenga has an LOC/DME approach which is quite tricky due to mountains nearby. The weather is mostly good so effectively, it will be more like a could breaking procedure. Quick turnaround for UK pilots coming from France. Customs is min 2 hrs PPR. Call the airport, putting the request in the FP is not sufficient. Otherwise very good for GA My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation! 	01.09.07	Rainer Calandri [rcalandri]	Nice place but a bit tricky to land. The airport is in a valley and if you got runway 09 to land than you need an altitude of about 2.000 feet to cross the hills on downwind 09. Don’t be to fast. And watch out for other traffic in the pattern or ask because the might not tell you. You can go by taxi to Alassio - lots of tourists there – for about 20 Euros or to Albenga. My grade: Your average airport for the area Category: City access
