	30.03.17	Henrik Knoblauch [henrik_k]	Nothing new to say. Everthing is excellent. As it was in the last years. Fees are low, service is great. Well, there IS something new. The cocktail bar "Poetic Bar" (http://www.barzlutaponorka.cz/) in the oldtown center of Budweis. Lovely decorated, excellent cocktails (real bartender behind the bar). Prices are very low compared to the quality. Are daughter enjoys the fantastic playground near the swimming hall every time she is with us. And if you enjoy a barbecue within a medieval restaurant, look for the Pansky Senk (https://www.facebook.com/Pansk%C3%BD-%C5%A1enk-216999855036758/) So if you haven´t been there, go there :-) My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation! 	09.09.13	Henrik Knoblauch [henrik_k]	Hotel Zlaty Andél offers now a Airport Transfer Service. It´s 600kcs to Krumlov, which is 40% less than a taxi cab. You need to order it in advance by phone. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation! Category:
	21.05.13	Henrik Knoblauch [henrik_k]	Airport is still a dream, low fees and very kind and helpful stuff. AVGAS is available, oil is not. This time I visited the small village Krumlow, which is about 18km to the south from LKCS (taxi is about 35€). Krumlow is now the touristic attraction, that what Budweis was in former years. You feel a little bit back in the middle age if you walk along the well polished facades along the moldau, which is surrounding the heart of the village. I can highly recommend the Hotel Zlaty Andél, which is directly located at the market place. It´s under austrian Management. The general manager Mr. Mendlik is related to aviation about his son, who is a pilot. Another advantage of Krumlow is, that all restaurants got open on sundays. Instead of Budweis, which is nearly "closed" on the end of the weekend. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation! Category: City access Romantic getaway
	16.08.12	Henrik Knoblauch [henrik_k]	Still the same as in 2008: A very nice airport (well, it´s an military airfield) with helpful and kind people. Also prices did not change. The taxi to the old town is about 8-10 euro. You can order it by radio during approach, so there is really no delay after landing :-) I can recommend the Grand Hotel Zvon. It´s not worth the price, but it´s located very well in the heart of the old town. And you get a socialistic feeling of the older days in the 1970´s. Fuel ist available, but not cheap. Ask in advance. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation! Category: City access Romantic getaway
	07.09.08	Henrik Knoblauch [henrik_k]	Really attractive airport.Extremly friendly airport staff, you feel like a family member. First place I´ve ever seen where handling fee (15€) is worth every buck. Price list (available on the internet) is explained to you by TWR after right landing, so no bad surprises are awaiting you. You were spoiled with drinks while waiting for the organized transfer to Budweis city (6€ by aiport shuttle, 8-10€ by taxi). Luggage transport, meteo & flight plan coordination is done by the airport agents. Highly recommended place to visit! Good discounts at Grand Hotel Zvon for pilots, also free internet access for meteo. AVGAS unfortunately not a/v at the time, planned in the end of october. Parking fee seems a little bit high, but you could get MIG hangar space for the same price. My grade: Excellent airport for General Aviation! Category: City access
