Jet A only. Insecticide required. Handling not legally required. Just plan to use swissport for handling and save yourself some headache. $300 handling plus $30 fees. Unlike Port of Spain, Crown Point specifically does not require a handling agent as an international airport for T&T, however an immigration officer has a racket set up with local handling and will not stamp you in to the country without one. Only Carib country I've been checked for use of insecticide; make sure you source some prior to arrival- port health WILL check.

How it 'should' go: taxi and park on far south ramp at the GA tiedown T's. Local security and port health will likely greet you, it's best to be proactive and have all your paperwork in a row before stepping out of thr door. T&T requires SEVEN Gendecs. Exit the plane, and follow down the west side of the ramp to terminal, enter through the international arrivals door. In the arrivals hall leave passengers and bags to get your Gendecs stamped. When entering the doors, immigration desks are on the far left. On the right when you enter is a desk with the inward customs forms. Back right of the room is the immigration supervisor; knock on the door and process gendecs if officers aren't at the desk. Then, go PAST the immigration and down the hall on the right is customs - present and samp Gendecs, they should keep 3. Back to immigration, process and they keep 3. Keep your last of 7 Gendecs to present on departure.

Our immigration officer was going back and forth and wouldn't let myself as the PIC self handle. Finally outright refused. I referenced the AIP (which shows handling agents aren't required) etc, no dice. I did later confirm later with both the airport director and port health that agents are nice, but not required. YMMV. Immigration also told me he was giving a crew visa, but later scratched it out and replaced it with tourist.

On departure, first pay airport fees landslide. Across the pickup/drop-off zone from the terminal is the area with rental car offices. Go through the main door, center on back wall is the cashiers office. Go ahead and pay your fees (make sure they understand it's aircraft, not car parking- ours was about $30 total). Keep your recipt. Go back outside, and ask any one of the uniformed officers to see the manager on duty, since youre a pilot and ready for departure. You can fax the flight plan to tower directly, or the manager on duty is happy to send it over. Crown Point tower did receive our IFR flight plan via foreflight, however I imagine VFR still needs to be done the old-fashioned way. Have pax wait landslide, go through security with the manager on duty with all paperwork and passports. Again, 7 Gendecs- go to customs, stamp 7 give you back four, then immigration stamp four give you back one. They may have sent your passengers already through, but likely you'll need to go back landslide now (with gendec and flight plan copy in hand) and go through the international departures together. Then, advise security once through youre a private flight and need to get out to your aircraft. (We were sent through a different security line and security stopped us mid-preflight with our bags and we had to go landslide again, then back out through Intl departures security.). From here, Port of Spain (TTPP) does have avgas and you can try self handling, as domestic flights 'shouldnt' have to use handling agents. Otherwise, Grenada TGPY is your closest fuel option.
