Quite a friendly and convenient airport for GA. Pretty close to the city (around 20€ with a taxi). If you park on the grass, no handling is charged. Self service fuel pumps (credit card and BP)

Nice way to crash on the cote d'Azur. Public buses to go downtown for 3€ and 30 minutes. Can be very busy in summer

All you have to know in Cannes: - Nice destination : city, beaches, french riviera - very easy airport (except in may with festival de Cannes and Grand prix F1 de Monaco - avoid) - at arrival, be in contact with Nice Info, then cannes TWR, then Ground - new procedure at ground : now one simple procedure for GA (more complex for jets with passengers) / no PAX manifest, direct access to your plane with simple security - Ldg fees : ~30€ Ldg/To same day ; +15€ for each overnight - 100LL : 1 pump with BP card / 1 pump with standard credit card (visa, master card, etc... - Beach at 15mn walk : end of runway (out apt, 2 times right) - Nice hotel Campanile with swiming pool in Apt area / Nice buffet! 3 other hotels in vicinities (search Cannes la Bocca) - Supermarket just other side of the street when leaving Apt - Bus to Cannes : line #20 just outside of Apt / line #1 400m walk, but better (more frequent)- fee : 1.5€ / no taxi needed - Romantic Gateway ! lot of palaces !

Check the mandatory WBT on the website. Handling not required for A/C below 3t. Small runway closed, expect crosswind on final Rwy 17. Taxi to Cannes about 30-40 Euro depend on day/night time. Airport Hotel is more a Motel, nothing special! But the food from the buffet is great, 10.- Euro only for all you can eat.

One should carefully familiarize oneself with the prescribed visual track procedure before landing in Cannes, the homepage provides sufficient instructional videos and documentation. Taxi to Nice is about 100 €, Europcar runs a rental station right in the airport lobby, no public transport access, next train station (Cannes la Bocca) is about 3 km away. During major events (F1 races, film festival etc.) Cannes will become a coordinated airport with tight slot restrictions. Check for AIP supplements accordingly. Don't forget to take your license with you when leaving the apron, you will have to show it upon return. Apart from that it's an easy going and GA friendly airport.

Nice and uncomplicated airport. For refelling Avgas there is a self service with local credit cards/carnets. Therefore you have to go to the office opposite and ask them for payment by credit card. The fees for landing and parking are for this type of airport reasonable. In the main building you will find a restaurant and the city with lots of restaurants and Hotels is close by (take a Taxi)
